How It Works in Practice
This program is arranged through the veteran's VA medical center, usually starting with a conversation with their VA care team or social worker.
VA purchases the care under contracts held by individual medical centers, which is why the agencies available differ from one part of the country to another.
Unlike Aid and Attendance, this is a service rather than a payment, and it is available to veterans only.
